Take empty cans...the larger ones work best. You can also use old coffee cans, even clean paint cans. Punch one small hole in the bottom for drainage. Spray cans with whatever color you like...let dry. Poke a second hole in one side of the can near the top, this is how you will hang the can. Fill with soil and plants. Pick plants depending on the amount of shade. Drive a small nail or screw in the tree and hang.
I am up to three cans so far. Who cares if they dont look as good forever...they were trash!
