Marshmallow Pops with Sophie...

I've tried the cake pops, and they're great...but they take too much time.  Marshmallow pops seemed like a nice option...

So, Sophie couldn't wait to help me with my project...Que the melting chocolate/double boiler...

Once the chocolate is melting, you can add food color to make it the color you like...you can also use milk chocolate for this...

Orange of course for Halloween...

Dip your lollipop sticks in the hot melted chocolate, making sure not to go all the way through.

Once you've got all of the sticks in the marshmallows, you can start dipping...BUT you have already removed the chocolate from the heat, and let it cool just a bit...If it is too hot, the marshmallows will melt.

Sophie waiting for the "pink" sprinkles.  She was such a good helper.  We put each color sprinkle in a separate bowl.  You can also use chopped nuts or crushed cookies for decorating.

I split a Styrofoam ball in half and stuck the marshmallows in to allow them to cool a little more before dipping in sprinkles.

Finally...time for sprinkles!  Sophie decorated her own...

She loved them!

Once they cooled completely, we used coffee filters to line our baking boxes.  You can put them in the frig to cool quicker, but they will cool on the counter, just a little more time.

Packaged up and ready for Sophie to add stickers before delivery.  They taste WONDERFUL in a chocolate/marshmallow kind of way!!!
