Lazy homemade biscuits...

Ok Grands are good, but there is no comparison to homemade biscuits, fresh rolled with love...
Now we don't always have time for that...but we can still have homemade!
This batch I used baking mix and milk...
Once the dough is semi mixed (the dough can still be somewhat wet), put out on your pan and pat out using floured fingers...
Now the lazy part...
Notice the pizza cutter?
Before placing in the oven, use the pizza cutter to portion out your biscuits...

Make them whatever size you want...it doesn't matter.
Now ready for the oven!

When they come out, you notice where the biscuits were cut with the pizza cutter...they are easy to pull apart.  Yes they are square instead of round, but you save a ton of time not having to roll them out on the counter.

I can't take credit for this idea...I saw it about a year or so ago on some food show...they were profiling a restaurant famous for biscuits.  They said they made so many biscuits, they didn't have time to roll them out and began using this method.

Not rolling the biscuits out also makes them lighter and a more tender biscuit.
